Yolanda QuarteySinger/Writer and vocal pre productionAs a recent addition to the Robot Club team, Yolanda has written for artists such as Will Young writing the top line for his greatest hits lead single "Hopes and Fears". She is currently working with Atlantic diva Carly Connor and the Decca act Victoria Park. Her role is as much a vocal producer as it is a top line writer and is becoming renowned for its distinctive sound and southern soul influence. As the fonder and writer of the VOGA course, Yolanda is fast becoming the leading Authority on vocal preproduction and voice care for professional singers in the UK, combining voice science and speech therapeutic techniques to her style of vocal preproduction. Previously a touring vocalist as a teen, Yolanda had written and done world tours with Bugz in the Attic, The Cuban Brothers, Freq Nasty featuring Roots Manuva and Yolanda and Massive Attack, and has supported acts ranging from Bjork and Basement Jaxx to James Brown. Recently she has also been writing with the inspired writer/producer Nitin Sawney on his forthcoming album and has written and recorded as the lead singer and wordsmith of the Bristol soul and country phenomenon Phantom Limb, produced by Marc Ford of the Black Crowes.
