 Gavin is a producer with many years experience. He prefers to do his own programming and is a talented arranger. He enjoys developing new artists as well as working with established, signed acts. He usually works out of his own studio, The Magic Garden, which is stuffed with wonderful vintage recording equipment and instruments, a huge microphone collection, and a full Pro tools rig. He produced and recorded the debut album from The Twang, ‘Love It When It Feels Like this’ which included the two hit singles, ‘Wide Awake’ and ‘Either Way’ and the debut album from Editors ,‘The Back Room’. Having worked with Scott Matthews on tracks for his first album, he went on to produce his current release for Island Records ‘Elsewhere’ featuring Robert Plant’s vocals on the track ‘12 Harps’. He has spent a large part of this year producing the forthcoming album from Ocean Colour Scene, ‘Rockfield’. He has continued his association with The Twang, producing tracks on their current album ‘Jewellery Quarter’ and Editors, producing their contribution to The Buena Vista Social Club recording of ‘Walk On The Wild Side'. He produced The Destroyers wonderful gypsy punk orchestra album 'Out of Babel' and has completed an album with The Pictures. |
